For thirty years, Charles Whitner has taken DeWhit, Inc. from cleaning a single pizza restaurant to providing full-service janitorial services to some of the most prestigious companies in the southeastern United States – companies like GlaxoSmithKline, BMW, and the University of North Carolina to name a few. Projects now include a wide range of industry groups including manufacturing plants, educational facilities, government buildings, multi-family residences, civic and entertainment centers, pharmaceutical facilities, office buildings and research facilities.

Even though the clientele has changed over the years, the DeWhit philosophy that Charles Whitner embraced thirty years ago has remained – “Turn a common service (cleaning) into a specialized service.”

DeWhit has been able to create and refine the most comprehensive housekeeping process available, a process with a proven track record of delivering top-of-the-line quality with cost-saving efficiencies.

Though it has grown throughout the years, DeWhit remains true to its primary goal of offering the highest level of quality to ensure customer satisfaction. By remaining privately-owned, we don’t have the corporate restraints nor the reporting burdens normally associated with the corporate culture; thus, we are able to spend more time on what we feel is most important – implementing and maintaining an optimum cleaning process at the lowest possible cost.

Today, DeWhit, Inc. employs over 200 housekeeping employees at different locations at any given time throughout the Southeast. Charles Whitner, as President, now heads up teams of housekeeping management specialists and technicians committed to customer service and quality.
