DeWhit’s Employee Training System has been developed and refined over decades in partnership with world-class corporations and partners and is among the best in the industry. Our training program includes extensive initial training, scheduled ongoing training, and special services training for all employees.
The janitorial industry is known for high employee turnover, but not at DeWhit. We are proud to say that because of the way we value and reward our employees we have one of the highest retention rates in our industry. Our 2015 employee turnover rate was only 5%.
PAID TIME OFF
Paid Time Off (PTO) is provided for full-time employees with annual adjustments for length of service. DeWhit observes six paid holidays each year. Any employee that has been employed for at least 12 months and has worked at least 1250 hours during the previous 12-month period is eligible for Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) leave.

Annual performance reviews are provided to all employees and are the basis for pay-for-performance wage increases. Supervisors and managers receive enhanced training to ensure that the work environment is healthy and beneficial both to our staff and our clients.
